Kampala, Uganda THE INDEPENDENT Former Presidential Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) flag bearer Rtd Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye has revealed that he is in isolation.
In a tweet he said goodbye to Al Hajj Nasser Ssebagala, who died last month, he apologised for not attending the funeral of the former mayor of Kampala on Sunday. He did not provide specifics, but self-isolation may indicate that he was exposed to someone who recently tested positive for COVID-19 or some other infectious disease.
“Well, fare thee Al Hajj Nasser Ssebagala (Seya). Unfortunately, I’m in self-isolation, and I couldn’t personally take part in sending him off. My thoughts and prayers are also with his kin. Inna lillahi wa Inna illahi raj’un, “Besigye said in a Sunday tweet.
During and after the lock-down, Besigye advocated that the Ugandans increase their immunity as the best protection against COVID-19. He has shared a variety of foods online that Ugandans can eat to improve their immunity.
